Two hotel properties. Two distinct identities. Two tailored in-room
experiences — designed within the same specialised hospitality TV
environment and shaped around each hotel’s services, outlets and
guest journey.
THE STARTING POINT
For each hotel, the television inside the guest room also served as a point of access to information about the property, its services and the experiences available to guests.
The challenge was to make that information easy to explore from the room while recognising that every hotel has its own priorities, offering and guest context.
PLATFORM CONTEXT
The interfaces were created inside a hospitality TV content-management
environment with its own page-building, navigation and styling controls — a more structured setting than a typical website or application design canvas.
This meant working within the available layouts, widgets, menu structures
and visual effects while still creating an interface that felt specific to each
hotel rather than like a standard template.
PROPERTY CONTEXT
Before designing the interfaces,RawSolutions needed
to understand each hotel as its own hospitality environment — its identity, services, outlets, entertainment offering and the way guests would move
through the information available to them.
Although both projects were created within the same type of hospitality TV environment, the resulting interfaces were intentionally different. Each hotelrequired its own content priorities, menu structure, creative direction and visual treatment.
The goal was not to apply one interface twice. It was to understand what made each hotel different, then shape the experience around that context.
GUEST NAVIGATION
The interface was structured around two levels of navigation: a main menu for the homescreen and a secondary menu for internal pages. Together, they created a clear path from the first screen into the different areas of hotel information.
Because the content and priorities differed between hotels, the navigation was adapted foreach property rather than built around one universal menu. The aim was to keep the experience simple enough for television use while still allowing each hotel to present its ownservices, outlets and experiences.
BRAND & CREATIVE ADAPTATION
The visual direction was developed separately for each hotel, translating its identity into the television interface through imagery, screen compositions, menu treatments and custom icons.
RawSolutions also created the supporting creative assets for each project and adapted them to the possibilities and limitations of the hospitality TV environment, using the available visual and interaction effects where they supported the design.
CENTRAL DEPLOYMENT
Once the interface, content and navigation were prepared, the experience could be published through the hospitality TV environment and delivered across the guest-room televisionswithin the hotel.
WHAT THE WORK DEMONSTRATES
Across both hotel projects, RawSolutions combined property understanding, information architecture, visual
adaptation and implementation within a specialised hospitality environment — while allowing each hotel to
retain its own identity and priorities.
READY TO BUILD A BETTER DIGITAL EXPERIENCE?
Whether the challenge is a specialised platform, a customer-facing interface or a more complex digital product, the starting point is the same: understand the context, the users and the business need firstFrom there, the goal is to shape the right experience around the constraints, priorities and opportunities already in front of the business.
